OUR STORY

Mahjong brings us to the table. Connection is what keeps us there.

Mahj Mujer is a modern social community created to bring women together in a way that feels genuine, effortless, and meaningful.

We’re beginning with American Mahjong — a game that naturally creates conversation, laughter, and connection around the table. But Mahjong is only the beginning.

Our vision is for Mahj Mujer to grow into a broader community of thoughtfully curated experiences that aren't always about Mahjong — social events, dinners, wellness experiences, retreats, travel, and more — all designed to bring interesting, inspiring women together and create experiences worth showing up for.

Our Name

Mahj Mujer reflects where our Story Begins. Mahj is the familiar shorthand for the game that first brings us together.

“Mujer” -spanish for woman- reflects the feminine spirit of the community and our southern California roots, where english and spanish are woven into the culture.

While Mahjong inspired the name, Mahj Mujer was never meant to be defined by a single game. it’s about Women gathering, connecting, trying new things, and building friendships that extend well beyond the table.

OUR Spirit Animal

The American bison represents strength, resilience, community, and courage — qualities that reflect the women we hope to bring together.

Bison are a matriarchal society. They are powerful individually, but stronger as a herd. And rather than simply running from an approaching storm, they are known to move toward and through it — a fitting symbol for women who have lived, learned, adapted, reinvented themselves, and kept moving forward.

There is strength in standing on your own. There is wisdom in knowing you don't have to do life alone.

Our Team

Natalie Finn

A former psychologist and forever life coach, Natalie is passionate about helping women become the best versions of themselves. She loves adventures near and far and finds great joy in learning new things.

After more than 20 years of marriage and raising three kids, she understands how easy it can be to lose a little of yourself in the busyness of life — and how important it is to hold onto the things that make you feel like you.

Natalie values having supportive people to learn, laugh, and grow alongside. She has recently found some of her own favorite connections on the tennis court and around the Mahjong table.

Through Mahj Mujer, she hopes to help other women find connection, belonging, and a renewed sense of self as they navigate life’s many seasons.

Director of Sales & Marketing

Stephanie spent her adult years wearing many hats. She’s a former elementary school teacher, a life-long, full time volunteer raising money for the public education system, a former life coach and professional organizer. She is a  nomad of her dreams. She can’t help herself from trying new things and searching out adventure. One thing that surprises her is that in her empty nest years is realizing that learning new things and being somewhat successful can keep happening even when you think a mature body might not have it in there anymore! She loves being a pioneer of new things. Beyond the Mahjong tables you’ll find her playing league tennis and on the golf course with her husband of 27 years and her golf gals!
